Event description

As global demand for meat continues to rise, conventional production methods are hitting ecological and ethical limits. iCAMP 25 brings together more than 300 scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to address one of the most pressing questions of our time: How can we sustainably and equitably scale protein production for a growing world?

Hosted by the Integrative Center for Alternative Meat & Protein (iCAMP), this year’s summit focuses on transforming food systems and building the bioeconomy through research, innovation, and policy.

A highlight of the program is a fireside chat with Bruce Friedrich, president and founder of The Good Food Institute, in conversation with Professor David Block, iCAMP Center Director. Bruce will also moderate a high-impact panel on biomanufacturing scale-up—diving into the infrastructure, partnerships, and investments needed to bring alternative proteins to scale and into the mainstream.

Summit sessions will cover:

  • U.S. and global policy developments shaping the alternative protein landscape
  • Trends in commercialization, investment, and industry strategy
  • Scientific advances across plant-based, cultivated, and fermentation-derived platforms
  • Biomanufacturing infrastructure, scale-up bottlenecks, and tech transfer
  • Regulatory frameworks, food safety, and consumer trust

Participants will also engage in:

  • Roundtable discussions with leaders from academia, industry, and government
  • Student flash talks and a poster showcase highlighting emerging talent
  • Evening networking receptions and a sponsor showcase featuring the latest breakthroughs

Whether you’re advancing scientific research, scaling a food company, shaping public policy, or exploring your role in the future of food, iCAMP 25 offers a space to connect, co-create, and help drive meaningful change.
