The Future of Protein Forum @ SXSW (Regen House)
Event description
Feeding a growing global population sustainably will require a range of protein solutions. That conversation is coming to SXSW.
On March 14, GFI’s Shayna Fertig, Senior Advisor to the President, will join leaders across food, agriculture, health, and conservation for The Future of Protein Forum at Regen House. The gathering will examine how protein diversification can help meet rising demand while strengthening supply chains, supporting farmers, and reducing resource intensity.
Shayna will share GFI’s perspective on the role of alternative proteins within a broader, more resilient protein landscape—alongside speakers including:
- Ambassador Ertharin Cousin (Food Systems for the Future Institute)
- Ethan Soloviev (HowGood)
- Maggie Hanna (Central Grasslands Roadmap Initiative)
- Tom Brenna (Dell Medical School)
- Katie Rose McCullough (The Meat Foundation)
SXSW convenes leaders from across technology, policy, and entrepreneurship. We’re glad to ensure that the future of protein is part of that exchange.
