Event description

Part 1 How to edit your story – Wednesday, May 28, 12 – 1 p.m. ET / 9 – 10 a.m. PT

Sharing your story effectively starts by tuning your message to your audience, being of service to them rather than approaching them as an attention crop to be harvested. Drawing on the principles of Smart Brevity, you’ll learn how to leave an audience rapt and wanting to engage more.

Part 2 How to visualize your story – Wednesday, June 4, 12 – 1 p.m. ET / 9 – 10 a.m. PT

When you use visuals they should advance your story, not be a redundant display of it, and should bring to life the select points where words would fail. Doing visuals effectively combines the visual impact of a video and the dynamic process of a whiteboard.

Part 3 How to deliver your story – Wednesday, June 11, 12 – 1 p.m. ET / 9 – 10 a.m. PT

All the editing and visualization in the world can’t rescue a presentation that’s poorly delivered, and that mostly comes down to the presenter’s use of their voice. The irony is that most of us are great vocal storytellers – until someone puts us in a formal presentation situation. We can fix that.
