Event description

Alternative proteins are part of the necessary shift in how food is produced and consumed if we are to meet global nutrition needs while remaining in planetary boundaries. In this session, India Langley from the Climate Bonds Initiative will introduce the new Alternative Proteins Criteria: a science-based framework defining what counts as green investment in this fast-growing sector. Developed through extensive expert consultation, the Criteria aim to channel global capital towards sustainable protein production, distribution and innovation and help investors, policymakers, and producers drive a just transition within food systems.
