Event description

GFI Policy Specialist Tim Carey will speak at Bridge2Food’s virtual session, focused on communicating science to decision makers across government and industry. Tim will share how GFI applies an evidence-informed approach to policy engagement—translating food systems science into actionable strategies for regulators, lawmakers, and multilateral bodies.

This session is part of Bridge2Food’s ongoing programming on public opinion, regulation, and the role of science in shaping food system transformation.

Tim Carey, JD

POLICY ATTORNEY

Tim Carey advances GFI’s legislative, and regulatory strategies by operating at the intersection of public health research, law, and policy. Tim joined GFI after serving several years as a Law & Policy Advisor focused on gun violence prevention at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Tim also previously worked in child advocacy at Maryland Legal Aid and the Emory Barton Child Law and Policy Center. Tim holds a JD from Emory University School of Law and a BA from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland.
