ACE names GFI top charity for fifth year, highlighting global scope and impact
GFI is honored to be named an Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) Top Charity for the fifth consecutive year, joining a select group of charities with Top Charity status. We are deeply grateful for ACE’s continued endorsement of GFI–an honor we have earned each year since our founding–as we create a healthy, sustainable, and just global food supply that is better for the planet and all of its inhabitants.

In their review, ACE noted, “We think that interventions used by GFI are highly effective in increasing the availability of animal-free products, especially conducting policy and legislative advocacy, and engaging large food companies to increase plant-based options. We also think their work promoting research on alternatives to animal products, stimulating an academic field, and building a community of different actors working in the industry are highly effective. Additionally, GFI has demonstrated a strong track record in producing research, conducting legislative and policy advocacy, and engaging with companies to promote animal product alternatives.“
The ACE review is a rigorous process that evaluates charities on the impact of programs, room for funding, cost-effectiveness, track record of success, ability to address challenges, strong leadership, healthy culture, and sustainable structure. ACE specifically called out strong performance and high confidence in GFI’s cost-effectiveness and room for funding. GFI is proud to put our donors’ gifts to work on the highest impact programs and serve as a force-multiplier of philanthropic support. ACE’s meticulous analysis and Top Charity endorsement confirm that giving to GFI is one of the most effective ways to create a better future for animals, people, and the planet.

Since we were founded nearly five years ago, GFI has been participating annually in the ACE charity evaluation. They’ve seen us grow over the years into the organization we are today and continue to support our vision for ongoing growth and impact.
As GFI enters its fifth year, we are mindful that all of our progress–and our momentum–have been fueled by our global family of donors.
