The United States Department of Energy’s (DOE) 17 National Laboratories (Labs) offer infrastructure and expertise directly relevant to the alternative protein sector. Alternative protein companies may contract with National Labs to perform research, test scale-up processes, access unique equipment, or conduct techno economic or life cycle analyses. Following the release of GFI’s Guide to working with the National Laboratories, former Capital Planning and Strategic Programs Administrator at the National Laboratory of the Rockies Emily Fenwick will share an overview and best practices for working with the National Laboratories.

FORMER CAPITAL PLANNING AND STRATEGIC PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATOR, NATIONAL LABORATORY OF THE ROCKIES
Emily Fenwick is a contractor with the Good Food Institute and a former Capital Planning and Strategic Programs Administrator at the National Laboratory of the Rockies. During her time at the Lab, she worked on strategic initiatives and federally funded research investments, supporting partnerships between government, industry, and research teams. Emily specializes in building cross sector partnerships across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, advancing work in environmental stewardship, education, and recreation.
