Prior to joining GFI, Somya worked across agrifood finance and international development at CGAP (World Bank Group), USAID, and the UN system, among others, with a focus on agtech and food systems transformation. She holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and an Expert Certificate in Sustainable Agricultural Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and has field experience across West Africa and Asia.
