Olivia Gerth provides strategic legal support and guidance to advance GFI’s mission of accelerating alternative proteins.
Areas of expertise: nonprofit compliance, legal counsel, contract negotiation, programmatic and operational support
Olivia joined GFI after working as in-house counsel at Mercy For Animals, where she served as a legal partner advancing efforts to protect animals in the industrial agriculture system. She also previously served as a prosecutor in New York City, working on domestic violence and animal cruelty cases. Olivia holds a J.D. from Georgetown Law and a B.A. in Criminology and Anthropology from the University of Florida. Outside of work, Olivia can often be found teaching yoga, baking sourdough, or learning the guitar.
