REGULATORY COUNSEL

Nigel Barrella serves as one of GFI’s regulatory counsels, working on and litigating as necessary domestic regulatory issues affecting cultivated and plant-based foods.

Areas of expertise: litigation, plant-based and cultivated meat regulation.

Nigel works on domestic regulatory issues affecting cultivated and plant-based foods, and he also litigates those issues when they end up in court. He joined The Good Food Institute after seven years in private practice. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in neuroscience from Duke University. He is a member of the bars of New York, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C.
