Melissa Ahlborn develops and interacts with our online audience and helps measure the impact of digital marketing initiatives.

Areas of expertise: social media management, digital marketing, food systems, culinary nutrition.

Melissa builds and inspires GFI’s online audience through strategic social media management and other digital marketing initiatives and helps to measure the impact of GFI’s owned channels and campaigns. She holds a B.S. in Communications from Boston University and spent 4 years working in marketing for a global market research firm before graduating with a Master’s in Food Systems from NYU’s School of Nutrition and Food Studies. While in graduate school, she also studied plant-based cooking and culinary nutrition at the Natural Gourmet Institute and taught nutrition education classes as a volunteer with City Harvest.
