Lisa Shipley leads the Collaborative Assistance Team facilitating effective and efficient execution of the organization’s mission while ensuring a positive culture and pragmatic approaches.

Prior to joining GFI, Lisa served as Chief Executive Officer of the Live Wildly Foundation. Her earlier career included leadership roles at the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy.
At GFI, Lisa oversees CAT, which includes Finance, Information Technology, Operations, and People Operations, while also partnering with GFI’s international affiliate teams to strengthen shared operational practices and cross-network coordination. She works to ensure that GFI’s operational infrastructure supports the organization’s vision today while adapting for the future, building a high-performing and inclusive workplace, ensuring strong financial stewardship, and advising on strategy, policy, organizational sustainability, and risk.
