Kimiko leads efforts to establish a regulatory framework, increase public investment, and accelerate the adoption of alternative proteins in Japan. With a background in new business ventures, corporate strategy, and global business development, she works closely with government agencies, academia, and industry leaders to advance regulatory approvals, research initiatives, and commercialization pathways for alternative proteins.
Prior to GFI, Kimiko held leadership roles in cellular agriculture, business development, and regulatory affairs, playing a key role in shaping Japan’s alternative protein ecosystem and fostering international collaboration.
