Karen is a researcher, writer, analyst and presenter with experience in the market research and natural foods industries. She utilizes her deep knowledge of the evolving alternative proteins market to develop and implement a strategic vision for maintaining and building the Corporate Engagement team’s research and analysis capabilities. Prior to joining GFI, Karen served as Health and Nutrition Analyst at Mintel, writing syndicated reports on topics including plant-based proteins and dairy alternatives. Other previous roles include Senior Natural Products Researcher at SPINS and Healthy Eating Specialist at Whole Foods Market. Karen holds a BA in English and Communications from Northern Illinois University and a Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Foundation.
