Janie Butler joined GFI after working with the Colorado BioScience Institute and Beyond Benign: An Institute for Green Chemistry Education. In these roles, she cultivated workforce development and educational initiatives by designing impactful programs, leading curriculum development, and fostering partnerships between industry and academia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Loyola University Maryland, an MBA in Business Analytics from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Master of Education in Education Technology and Instructional Design from Western Governors University. Her interdisciplinary background equips her to support and scale sustainable practices across education and workforce training.
