The Good Food Institute is joining Earth Precision Agriculture Conference 2026, a global gathering focused on the technologies, partnerships, and ideas shaping the future of agriculture.
Elliot Swartz, principal scientist at GFI, has been invited to serve as co-chair for the conference’s Food Biomanufacturing and Cellular Agriculture track. This will explore how advances in biotechnology, automation, AI, and precision systems can help build a more sustainable, resilient, and efficient food system.
Bringing together researchers, startups, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world, EPA 2026 is designed to move innovation from insight to implementation. Discussions will span everything from precision fermentation and bioprocess engineering to consumer acceptance, supply chains, and the future of protein production.
As alternative proteins continue to gain momentum globally, this track highlights the growing connection between food innovation and the broader agricultural transition already underway.

Elliot Swartz, PhD
SENIOR PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST, CULTIVATED MEAT
Elliot’s work at GFI focuses on analyzing the technical and economic bottlenecks facing the cultivated meat industry, identifying opportunities to accelerate the industry, and educating scientists, the public, and other industry stakeholders. For the past five years, Elliot has worked on projects ranging from food safety and environmental impact to in-depth analysis of the cultivated meat value chain. Elliot holds a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he worked with induced pluripotent stem cells to model neuromuscular disease.
