The Yeditepe Alt Protein Project, a student initiative inspired by the potential of alternative proteins, aims to make a positive impact on the environmental sustainability of our food production systems. The co-founding members of the Yeditepe Alt Protein Project met in a food sustainability course, which naturally allowed them to align on their shared values around reducing greenhouse gas emissions, land use, and water consumption to create a more resilient food system. Our project aims to raise awareness, provide educational opportunities, foster a sense of community, and conduct research within the realm of alternative proteins.
