About
Engineering the future of food through research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, the Waterloo Alt Protein Project is one of the first chapters of the Good Food Institute’s Alt Protein Project in Canada. We aim to create a sustainable and secure food system through research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Waterloo chapter is working to initiate alternative protein research projects, encourage students to create startups in the alternative protein industry, and foster partnerships with existing startups. We also hope to improve the taste, texture, and appearance of new alternative protein products.
