About
Our Mission
The UNSAM Alt Protein Project is committed to positioning the National University of San Martín (UNSAM) —and ultimately Argentina—as a global leader in alternative protein innovation. We pursue this mission by cultivating a culture of scientific excellence, sustainable development, and cross-sector collaboration in the field of alternative proteins.
Why UNSAM?
UNSAM offers robust academic programs in Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology Engineering, Food Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels—making it uniquely equipped to support interdisciplinary innovation.
Its location within a dynamic industrial and scientific corridor further strengthens the university’s potential to become a key hub for research and innovation in the region.
Our Approach
We believe students are catalysts for systemic change. That’s why we’re building a collaborative platform that bridges disciplines and connects students, researchers, and faculty to accelerate research, education, and innovation in alternative proteins.
