About

The Regensburg Alt Protein Project is not currently active, but the previous leaders laid a great foundation for building the University of Regensburg into an engine of alternative protein education, research, and innovation. If you want to help build upon that progress and restart The Regensburg Alt Protein Project, please contact us directly! We would love to work with you and revitalize student leadership at the University of Regensburg.

The Regensburg Alt Protein Project is a student initiative that is hungry to advance the future of food by promoting alternative proteins in Germany. Some of the ways we do so are through holding community events. We collaborated with fellow European Alt Protein Project chapters to launch a monthly virtual journal club for students to engage deeply with the latest alternative protein research and create projects that push the bounds on technological innovation. We’ve also held the Alternative Protein Advancement Seminar (TAPAS) with the Berlin chapter, where we featured various alternative protein researchers and entrepreneurs during the 4-day event. We look forward to continuing to build the alternative protein ecosystem through advancing our awareness, education, and research objectives.
