The Smart Protein Project at NIFTEM-K is dedicated to sharing knowledge and supporting food sustainability through the utilization of alternative proteins. Our goal is to stimulate research and innovation on campus, concurrently fostering a cohesive community for students dedicated to the advancement of delicious, affordable and nutritious alternative protein products.

NIFTEM Kundli was established under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India in 2012 to provide a conducive ecosystem for education, research, industrial promotion and entrepreneurship in the food processing sector. NIFTEM Kundli offers an integrated food science, technology and management curriculum and has emerged as a leading academic and research institute in the field. NIFTEM Kundli places great value on food security and sustainability, which resonates with the values of GFI and the alternative protein industry.
