Thanks to its renowned stem cell institute, KU Leuven also has a crucial framework in place to become a leader in cultivated meat research. The Leuven Alt Protein Project is actively building a community on campus for students and academics. It aims to create research opportunities focused on the development of cultivated meat across multiple departments and universities in the region.
