The Alt Protein Project at IIT Bombay is accelerating the transition to a more sustainable food future. Our core values include innovation, sustainability and inclusivity.
Through our community-building efforts, we engage talented students from various backgrounds and programs to brainstorm and create viable solutions through collaboration. IIT Bombay has a vibrant student culture with various clubs and communities focused on technical, cultural, social, entrepreneurial and academic objectives, and often participates in various international competitions.
We have two smart protein startups, Promeat and Myoworks, that are incubated at the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay. With emerging Centers of Excellence in Biosciences and Climate Change, our university’s dedication to address key sustainability and nutrition issues put us in the perfect position to become a hub in the field!
