Our mission is to transform our campus into a hub for rigorous scientific research in alternative proteins, including plant-based, cultivated, and fermentation-enabled proteins, while fostering a strong, inclusive community. We are dedicated to creating academic and career pathways in this field by supporting new coursework, student advising, and exposure to cutting-edge research and industry opportunities, leveraging UMich’s collaborative, interdisciplinary strengths in engineering, life sciences, business, and sustainability.
