SUMMARY:Future Food-Tech San Francisco – Breaking Barriers to Scale: Cost\, Efficiency\, and De-Risking Bioprocessing
DESCRIPTION:Future Food-Tech San Francisco – Breaking Barriers to Scale: Cost\, Efficiency\, and De-Risking BioprocessingPast\n\n\n\n\nFrom modular systems to shared infrastructure\, the future of bioprocessing is getting real. Join GFI’s Amanda Hildebrand at Future Food-Tech San Francisco as she moderates a dynamic breakout session on scaling alt protein biomanufacturing. \n\n\n\n	Share this page on Bluesky\n \n	Share on Bluesky\n\n\n	Share this page on Threads\n \n	Share on Threads\n\n\n	Share this page on Twitter\n	\n	Share on X\n\n\n	Share this page on LinkedIn\n	\n	Share on LinkedIn\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent description\n\n\n\nWhat will it really take to bring bioprocessing to industrial scale? \n\n\n\nJoin GFI Vice President of Science and Technology Amanda Hildebrand at Future Food-Tech San Francisco (March 19–20) for an in-depth breakout session: “Breaking Barriers to Scale: Cost\, Efficiency\, and De-Risking Bioprocessing.” This interactive conversation will spotlight: \n\n\n\n\nHow upstream and downstream integration can unlock yield and consistency gains\n\n\n\nWhere enabling technologies are moving the needle today\n\n\n\nWhy modular systems\, shared infrastructure\, and strategic partnerships are key to crossing the valley of death\n\n\n\n\nDrawing on insights from across industry\, investment\, and science\, the session will surface real-world examples of what’s working now—and what’s still needed to reach commercial production. Whether you’re a startup operator\, investor\, or R&D leader\, expect practical perspectives and opportunities to engage. \n\n\n\nLet’s build the bioeconomy that protein innovation demands. See you in San Francisco. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGFI speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAmanda Hildebrand\, PhD\n\n\n\nVICE PRESIDENT\, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY \n\n\n\nAmanda Hildebrand oversees GFI’s Science and Technology department to build a roadmap for accelerating alternative protein research while empowering scientists to execute on this vision. Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of California\, Santa Barbara\, and a doctorate in biological systems engineering from the University of California\, Davis. She brings over 13 years of experience in developing and commercializing sustainable bioprocesses. She has led project and functional teams within small start ups and Fortune 500 companies\, with broad knowledge across many fermentation platforms\, production scales\, application areas\, and industries. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUpcoming events\n\n\n\nView all events\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n June 8\, 2026\n Marché Bonsecours\n \n \n \n 2026 Climate Solutions Prize Festival\n \n \n \n Bruce Friedrich joins the Climate Solutions Prize Festival to explore why the future of climate action must include the future… \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n June 9\, 2026\n \n Virtual Event\n \n \n \n From Planning to Competitive Proposal: Advancing Alternative Proteins Planning Grants Information Session\n \n \n \n Join us to gain a clear understanding of the program and how to position your work for larger-scale funding. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n June 11\, 2026\n \n Virtual Event\n \n \n \n The Science of Alt Protein: Plant protein colloidal state and techno-functionality\n \n \n \n Take a deep dive into the importance of the colloidal state of proteins when using globular plant proteins as functional… \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n June 30\, 2026\n \n Virtual Event\n \n \n \n Business of Alt Protein: The Importance of Sensory Science for Alternative Proteins\n \n \n \n Join us on June 30 for a Business of Alt Protein webinar on the importance of sensory science for alternative…
