The program is designed to spark thoughtful discussion across disciplines and create space for deeper engagement with some of the biggest questions shaping the future of our food system. \n\n\n\nAt 2:15 pm\, Madeline will speak on Panel II: Financing Food Innovation: Legal and Policy Issues in Alternative Proteins and the Future of Animal Welfare\, alongside investors and food innovation leaders. Drawing on GFI’s work to help create a clear\, science-based path to market for alternative proteins\, she will bring a practical policy perspective to the legal and regulatory issues influencing the field’s progress. \n\n\n\nThe afternoon will also include a panel on barriers to sustainable agriculture and paths to reform\, followed by a reception and poster presentation. With both virtual and in-person attendance options available\, the event is expected to draw a wide mix of founders\, advocates\, academics\, students\, and other stakeholders interested in the future of food and law. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGFI speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMadeline Cohen\, JD\n\n\n\nASSOCIATE DIRECTOR\, REGULATORY AFFAIRS \n\n\n\nMadeline Cohen leads GFI’s regulatory team in implementing regulatory\, policy\, and litigation strategies to support a clear path to market and a level playing field for alternative proteins. Prior to joining GFI\, Madeline worked on a variety of litigation and compliance matters as an associate at Wiley Rein LLP. She also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert. C. Chambers\, U.S. District Court Judge.
