In this talk\, Dr. Molento will highlight recent developments and current discussions regarding the alternative protein landscape in Brazil. \n\n\n\n\n\nMeet the speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarla Molento\, DVM\, MSc\, PhD\n\n\n\nPROFESSOR AND COORDINATOR OF THE ANIMAL SCIENCE LABORATORY \n\n\n\nProfessor Carla Molento is a researcher in animal welfare science and professor of animal welfare at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR) in Brazil. She joined the university’s Animal Welfare Laboratory upon its founding in 2004. She has also been involved with legislation and norms related to animal protection\, serving for six years as the president of the Animal Welfare Commission at the Brazilian Federal Veterinary Medicine Council.
