In this panel\, experts examine the connections between personal and planetary health\, with a particular emphasis on how our dietary choices can influence climate change\, antibiotic resistance\, and food security. Panelists will explore concepts including mindful eating\, cultivated meat\, and “blue” diets rooted in the ocean. They will also discuss sustainable agricultural practices. By looking at where and how our food is sourced\, you’ll be able to evaluate both the health and the environmental impact of our meals. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGFI speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBruce Friedrich\n\n\n\nPRESIDENT AND FOUNDER \n\n\n\nBruce Friedrich serves as GFI’s chief thought leader and relationship-builder\, working in close partnership with GFI’s global teams and food system stakeholders around the world. \n\n\n\n\nGet in touch\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUpcoming events\n\n\n\nView all events\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n November 12\, 2026\n \n Virtual Event\n \n \n \n The Science of Alt Protein: Genome-scale modeling of porcine cell metabolism\n \n \n \n Explore how a GFI-funded genome-scale metabolic model can reveal porcine cell nutrient requirements and inform lower-cost culture media for cultivated…
